I believe that I am a good fit for this role for three main reasons: I have strong experience with sales and business development, thanks to my experience at Oracle and at several startups; I have strong leadership and execution skills gained through my tenure with the Global Shapers Community; and finally, I have a strong passion for what Status stands for.
Since graduating from the London School of Economics, I have been working in tech in Sales and Business Development. I love my job, and the contributions I have made have earned me a respectable profile. But great just isn't good enough; there is still something very important missing to me: the feeling that my work has a direct impact on people's lives.

This assignment involves a case study where Ralph, a fourteen year old boy, is currently in foster care because his mother; Kerry, felt she was unable to control him due to his behaviour. However, Kerry has now expressed that she is unhappy with this foster placement and has requested that her son be returned to live with her and his two younger brothers. The scenario becomes more complex owing to the fact that Ralph has disclosed that his mother had regularly hit him with a walking stick. In this essay I will seek to consider the main practice issues raised by the scenario of the case study. Using the materials provided within the course along with my own professional experience, I will outline relevant legislation
Workers rights is not a usual topic in this day and age. Many people say that we have crossed that hump and it is not worry because of all of the progress that we have made. This is not true, many are denied these rights. A factory in Juarez fired 90 workers who were trying to form a union to get better rights(Document F). It is not a privilege to be able to form a union, it is a right of any worker to be able to form one. The are on the forefront of achieving change in the lives of people who don’t have a voice. It is crucial for them to have one to combat factories, a factory worker described her factory as, “the factory culture oppressive and demoralizing” (Document D). This is not far for the workers who work day in and day out on a wage
The Industrial Revolution consisted of scientific innovations, a vast increase in industrial production, and a rapid growth of urban populations which consequently shaped a new social structure in the European continent. Initially in the late eighteenth century, the new industrialization period produced dominant bourgeoisie employers and a united men, women, and children workers. The continued increase of factories coupled with a need for employees made the Proletariats within a short period of time a large, underprivileged, hungry, and desperate for money. Meanwhile, their bourgeoisie employers grew authoritative and wealthy as production and profit soared. Despite the common ties between proletariat workers upon the outbreak of the
Work is a huge part of people’s lives and a salient source of meaning and self-definition for most individuals. Work helps people transform and modify how they define themselves. My interest for the Attorney Advisor position with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) arises from my longstanding commitment to constantly improve myself. I have always enjoyed legal research, writing, and the complexities of intellectual property. I have no doubt that my enthusiasm to research, my eagerness to learn, and my strong ability to communicate clearly, work efficiently, accurately, and quickly, will make me an invaluable asset to the USPTO. I believe these traits combined with my unique skillset, developed as a result of experiences working for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (Diamondbacks), Nike Inc. (Nike), and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Liability Management Department (AG Office)

The majority of humanity proceeds through life at an unfluctuating or even mundane pace. It is not until we experience a noteworthy event in our personal or professional lives that, we pause and contemplate the impact. For some individuals, this crucible event provides clarity to the point that life becomes more meaningful. For others, the impact of the experience alters the course of their life forever. I experienced such an event in my professional life during a moment in which an elderly World War II Veteran quietly revealed to me that unassuming heroes inconspicuously walk among the rest of us every day. This realization forged within me a sense of duty, purpose, and values, which has strongly influenced my leadership style.
Most people don't realize the people who've made real difference are not all privileged, advantaged, or "special" by any means. You could have health or mental disabilities and still make an impact. Some could be sport professionals or national leaders may inspire the world, while if you're quieter you can inspire your family, friend's or co-workers. You could be young and do something you think isn't big, but in the future it will be. What impact will you make?
Socioeconomic status (SES) is one of the most widely studied constructs in the social sciences. Several ways of measuring SES have been proposed, but most include some quantification of family income, parental education, and occupational status. Research shows that SES is associated with a wide variety of health, cognitive, and socioemotional outcomes in children, with effects beginning prior to birth and continuing into adulthood. A variety of mechanisms linking SES to child well-being have been proposed, with most involving differences in access to material and social resources. For children, SES impacts well-being at multiple levels.
