In the case of Jared, he is seeking treatment after being in an inpatient alcohol treatment center. In patient services helped him focus on addressing his addiction to alcohol and what triggers him to drink. Jared can benefit by using outpatient services. Outpatient services will help Jared by giving him more freedom to allow his commitment to family responsibilities at the same time attend his sessions (Erford, 2013). Jared must abstain from alcohol which requires a lot of willpower but outpatient can offer him support groups, individual counseling, and family counseling, so Jared will never feel like he is alone in his recovery.

Interventions provided during this service: WYP patiently waited for the client to walk out of class to the parking lot, but did not see the client for about 25 minutes. WYP proceed to call the client's foster father. The foster father attempted to contact the school to get an update on the client. The foster father called the WYP back and informed him, the youth just walked up to the home. WYP proceed to drive to the client's home. WYP discussed with the client about the meeting. The client informed the WYP he waited for a while, but did not see the WYP and left. The client informed the WYP he got to school at 8:30AM and stayed for an hour. WYP informed the client, if that is true, then the time, as of now, should not be 9:40AM. It takes the client about 25 to 30 minutes to walk home. WYP encouraged the client to be honest. WYP will assist the client to get a watch, in order for the client to keep track of time. WYP dropped off a sleeping for the client (the client is going camping in mid July).
The counselor has employed an integrative approach in working with the client which employs solution-focused, CBT, and mindfulness interventions.
For the purpose of this assignment, we interviewed Jodi Greenblatt, the Clinical Director at Community Partners (CP) and Hilary Jacques an LCSW Outpatient Therapist. I was thoroughly impressed and refreshed by the interview with Jodi. While interviewing Jodi, I felt that she had a wealth of knowledge and was very knowledgeable about the theoretical framework that Community Partners employs. Jodi explained to us that the agency does not specify any treatment modality, but the agency does have commonly used treatment modalities that include, but are not limited to, CBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Triple P Parenting Skills. She explained that the theoretical underpinnings of the commonly used treatment modalities are CBT and the trauma based focus of the treatment modalities. Said another way, what Jodi was describing was that the commonly used treatment modalities employed by the agency have a trauma-focused orientation and are grounded in theories of change.
