Question
- Open the HTML and JavaScript files provided as start up files (index.html and navigation.js). Then, run the application and notice that when you click on a link in the sidebar, the page is scrolled so the information for the speaker associated with that link is displayed. In other words, this application works even if JavaScript is disabled.
- In the JavaScript file, add an event handler for the ready event method. Then, within the function for that event handler, add jQuery code that hides the heading and article for all but the first speaker.
- Add an event handler for the click event of the <a> elements in the sidebar. Then, within the function for that event handler, add jQuery code that hides all the speaker information, gets the value of the href attribute of the link that was clicked, and then uses that value to display the heading and article for the speaker associated with that link.

Scott Sampson is a Canadian-born
paleontologist who received his Ph.D. in
zoology from the University of Toronto. His doctoral work focused on two new
species of ceratopsids, or horned dinosaurs, from the Late Cretaceous of Montana,
as well as the growth and tunction of certopsid horns and frills.
Folowing graduation in 1993, Sampson spent a year working at the American
Museum of Natual History in New York City, followed by five years as assistant
professor of anatomy at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine on Long
Island. He arived at the University of Utah accepting a dual position as assistant
professor in the Department of Geology and Geophysics and curator of vertebrate
paleontology at the Utah Museum of Natural History. His research interests largely
revolve around the phylogenetics, tunctional morphology, and evolution of Late
Cretaceous dinosaurs.
In addition to his museum and laboratory-based studies, Sampson has conducted
paleontological work in Zimbabwe, South Arica, and Madagascar, as well as the
United States and Canada. He was also the on-the-air host for the Discovery
Channe's Dinosaur Planet and recently completed a book, Dinosaur Odyssey: Fossil
Threads in the Web of Life, which is one of the most comprehensive surveys of
dinosaurs and their worlds to date

- Need help with this. I attached how it should look Declare the questionList variable, storing in it the node list created by the querySelectorAll() method using “div#quiz input” as the CSS selector. Add an onclickevent handler to the startQuiz object, running an anonymous function that sets the class attribute of the overlay object to “showquiz” and repeats the countdown() function every 1 second (every 1000 milliseconds), storing the id of the timed command in the global timeID variable you declared in Step 3. Create the countdown()function to update the quiz clock. Within the function create an if else statement that tests whether the value of the timeLeft variable is equal to 0. If it is equal to 0, do the following: 0. Use the clearInterval()method to cancel the timed command with the variable timeID. Create an event listener for the window load event that retrieves the field values attached to the query string of the page’s URL. Add the following to the event listener’s anonymous function: Create the orderData variable that stores the query string text from the URL. Slice the orderData text string to remove the first ? character, replace every occurrence of the + character with a blank space, and decode the URI-encoded characters. Split the orderData variable at every occurrence of a & or = character and store the substrings in the orderFields array variable. Write the following values from the orderFields array into the indicated fields of the order form: orderFields[3] into the modelName field orderFields[5] into the modelQty field orderFields[7] into the orderCost field orderFields[9] into the shippingType field orderFields[13] into the shippingCost field orderFields[15] into the subTotal field orderFields[17]…arrow_forwardWrite a function named copyInput that that doesn't take any parameters and doesn't return a value. This function should find an HTML element with an id of "user_input". That element will be a text box (input element). - Write a javascript program with explanations Use Bootstrap to style the table. The trip data needs to begin as an array literal of object literals, where each trip is an object with 3 properties. The button must have an id property, and using getElementById('id') you must assign the function that displays the table to the button using an anonymous function in your JavaScript code. Rather than use document.write(), you should concatenate the table elements as shown in the examples in the notes for JavaScript objects. If you are ambitious, though, you can get a 10% bonuse if you successfully use createElement() and appendChild(), as discussed in the DOM lecture notes offered later in the course. It is not necessary to use createElement(); concatenation is fine. Before being inserted into a table cell, the mpg must be calculated and not be part of the data objects. round the calculation to 1 decimal placearrow_forwardChoose: ANY keyboard event ANY mouse event and either Scroll, Resize, Focus, Blur, Select, or Change Make sure it's clear in the HTML what the user (aka ME) should be doing to trigger your events.Make 3 HTML/JavaScript files (use embeded aka <script> tags to make it easier) one for the old HTML method, the DOM Event Handler method, and the Event Listener method. They should look all the same just have the events coded differently.Subject matter can be whatever you want, the assignment is not dependent on content as it is functionality. Just make it PG, obviously! You can have fun with it. Silly is fine.arrow_forwardEvent Listeners Go to the co_cart.js file in your editor. Directly below the initial comment section, add an event listener for the window load event that does the following when the page is loaded: Runs the calcCart() function. Add an event handler to the modelQty field in the cart form that runs the calcCart() function when the field value is changed. A for loop that loops through every option in the group of shipping option buttons, adding an event handler to run the calcCart() function when each option button is clicked. JavaScript Functions Create the calcCart() function to calculate the cost of the customer’s order using field values in the cart form. Within the calcCart() function do the following: Create a variable named orderCost that is equal to the cost of the espresso machine stored in the modelCost field multiplied by the quantity of machines ordered as stored in the modelQty field. Display the value of the orderCost variable in the orderCost field, formatted as U.S.…arrow_forward
