B- Mr. Roe came in this morning with a high fever and bloody stools. Also, he has a history of laxative abuse. Vital signs are as follows: blood pressure 110/80, pulse 86 bpm, respirations 19 breaths per minute, temperature 38.1 degrees Celsius. I am currently monitoring the total intake and output, including stool output.
A- I think the patient is suffering from acute diarrhea.
