Chapter 1, Problem 12P

Tactile feedback is an important component in the learning of motor skills such as dancing, sports, and physical rehabilitation. A suit with white dots recognized by a vision system to determine arm joint positions with millimetric precision was developed. This suit is worn by both teacher and student to prov ide position information. (Lieberman, 2007), If there is a difference betw een the teacher's positions and that of the student vibrational feedback is provided to the student through eight strategically placed vibrolactile actuators in the wrist and arm. This placement takes advantage of a sensory effect known as cutaneous rabbit that tricks the subject to feel uniformly spaced stimuli in places where the actuators are not present. These stimuli help the student adjust to correct the motion. In summary, the system consists of on instructor and a student having their movements followed by the vision system. Their movements are fed into a computer that finds the differences between their joint positions and provides proportional vibrational strength feedback to the student. Draw a block diagram describing the system design.

A stock-flow system models the level of water in a lake.  Near a certain equilibrium point, there are three feedback loops: an amplifying feedback loop with strength of +0.55 per month,  a stabilizing feedback loop with strength of -0.09 per month, and an amplifying feedback loop with strength of +0.79 per month.  Calculate the strength of the overall feedback.
Sensor systems for obstacle detection and avoidance in mobile robots. • Design and develop a suitable processor-based Data Acquisition (DAQ) system and external hardware to interface, measure, display and store the responses from the selected sensors.
How would I plot the aircraft pitch angle response to elevator step inputs of -10, and +10 degrees for a duration of five seconds by implementing short period approximation using Simulink. What would the block diagram/ simulink layout roughly look like?
