The law of conservation of mass states that any system which is closed to the passing of energy and matter has it mass constant, because the mass of the system can never be changed. Therefore, no quantity can be removed from or added to it. So, the amount of mass remains conserved for all the chemical changes.
If a reaction is consistent with the law of conservation of mass, it means that in the chemical reaction, the mass of the reactants and the mass of the products are equal to each other.
