A bookshelf needs to be built to hold 200 novels. The depth, width and height of the largest novels are 8 inches by 2 inches by 10 inches, respectively and the novels need to sit in the bookshelf so that the largest novel fits perfectly without any overhang of shelf showing.
The homeowner would like 4 shelves to hold all the books, with one extra shelf to hold future books (5 total shelves). Each of the four shelves will hold 50 books. The homeowner wants no more than one-inch thick wood shelving.
Create an orthographic scale drawing of the bookshelf on grid paper. Be sure to include the front, side, and top views. Include a scale.
