Introduction: A group of cells having similar structure and function is known as tissues. Tissues utilise nutrients from the blood for their maintenance. Nutrients are also stored in tissues that can last for several days to months even if the nutrient level in the blood declines for a long period of time. If there is no proper intake of the nutrients, the tissue gets depleted of its nutrient source and it results in physiological changes in the body.
