Opinions for handling the transaction load:

• Query performance must be improved in a centralized system for handling the transaction load.
• While performing Query processing, the following points must be noted,
• 1. ○ Reduce the amount of memory and storage needed for query processing.
  2. ○ Maximize the throughput which means that the number of requests that are processed in a given amount of time should be increased.
  3. ○ Query Response Time has to be reduced.
  4. ○ Memory and Storage needed for processing has to be reduced.
  5. ○ Avoid Cross Product Operations as they result in huge intermediate tables that will require time for processing.
  6. ○ Perform restrictive select operations before the other operations.
• Query Optimization is performed by following the below given steps:
• 1. ○ Generating Query Tree
