The reason that the children with father that carries balanced translocation might or might not have the same translocation.
Introduction:
A translocation is the movement of segment of chromosome from one chromosome to another chromosome. This chromosomal mutation is balanced meaning that there is a “reciprocal swap of one piece of chromosome for the other”. Often it is not associated with the visual effects but when there is one normal copy and other abnormal copy in the children then the translocation is unbalanced.
