Introduction:

The white blood cells (WBCs) are also known as leucocytes. Leucocytes protect the body from any foreign particles, such as bacteria, and also from other infections. Thus, it is a part of the immune system of the body. There are two types of leucocytes in the body: granulocytes and agranulocytes. Granulocytes include neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils, and agranulocytes include lymphocytes and monocytes.
