Concept introduction:
Red-green color blindness also known as the “protanopia-deuteranopia”. Protanopia occurs due to the lacking of the red cones in the eyes. While deuteranopia occurs due to the lacking of the green cones in the eyes. It is an X-linked recessive disorder. This disease is mostly found in the male in comparison to the female, but a female act as a carrier to the disease. In the red-color blindness, an individual is unable to distinguish between red and green color.
