Program Plan Intro

Read the CSV file and calculate the average

Program Plan:

Filename: “Haberman.java”

• Import the required packages.
• Declare the class “Haberman”.
  • Define the main method.
    • Declare the required variables.
    • Declare the string variable and assign the file to that variable.
    • In “try” block,
      • Create an object for the “Scanner” class.
      • Read the rest of the file line by line using “while” condition.
        • Read the lines.
        • Separate the string by comma.
        • Extract the number of nodes and survival status.
        • If the “status” is equal to 1, survived node is calculated. Otherwise, died node is calculated.
      • Close the file.
      • Calculate the averages.
      • Display the outputs.
    • In “catch” block, thrown a “FileNotFoundException” exception.
    • Another “catch” block will throw “IOException” exception.
