To determine:
Whether transformation has taken place or not in the experiment performed by the student.
Introduction:
Transformation is the process in which genes of one bacterial strains changes the strain of another bacteria. Griffith used this property to determine the genetic material in the bacteria. He identified the genetic material as the transforming strain but failed to detect whether it is protein or DNA.
To describe:
The explanations which confirms the presence of type IIS bacteria in dead mouse.
Introduction:
A control experiment is required to determine the non virulence of any bacteria; this experiment is usually helpful in the determination whether the virulence of type IIS strain is because of mutation or transformation.
