Concept explainers
(a)
To determine: The mechanism by which the convex and concave corrective lenses alter the path of light refraction.
Introduction: The eye is divided into various parts based on the functions performed. The lens is the transparent, biconvex structure that is located at the front portion of the eye and functions to refract the light along with the cornea.
(b)
To determine: The type of lens that is used to correct myopia.
Introduction: The shape of the lens can be altered in some individuals which leads to the decrease in the property of vision. When the image is formed in front of the retina, the disease is called myopia.
