She believes that her students will be more comfortable and open when interacting with a peer. To teach a short cut technique in solving rational equations and inequalities, she demonstrates the strategy to one of her students and requires this student to do the same to two of his classmates, with a condition that each student who undergoes the peer tutorial will repeat the process until everyone in the class will be able to learn the short cut technique. Also, each student is required to submit a reflection paper of their experienced while doing the peer tutoring and learning with classmates, for her to assess if she is successful to attain her objectives. Based on the situation above, complete the table below. Tutorial Stage 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 Number of student who undergo the tutorial…arrow_forwardSolve the two step inequality by following these steps Original problem : 2x + 2(20) > 180 Simplify 2x + 40 > 180 Subtract 40 from both sides : 2x > 140 Divide both sides by 2 : x > 70arrow_forward
- The golden rectangle of the ancient Greeks was thought to be the rectangle with the shape that was most pleasing to the eye. The golden rectangle was defined as a rectangle that would retain its original shape after removal of a W by W square. So the length and width of the original rectangle must satisfy. If the width W of a golden rectangle is 10.8 m, then what is its length?arrow_forwardSome airlines have restrictions on the size of items of luggage that passengers are allowed to take with them. Suppose that one has a rule that the sum of the length, width and height of any piece of luggage must be less than or equal to 150 cm. A passenger wants to take a box of the maximum allowable volume. If the length and width are to be equal, what should the dimensions be? 1) what is the length/width, height and volume? 2) if the length was twice the width, what would the length, width, height and volume be?arrow_forwardDiscuss the circumstances under which the x intercepts of the graph of a quadratic function are included in the solution sets of a a quadratic inequality and when they are not included.arrow_forward
