1. The cultural traditions, values and customs kept passing from one generation to another. The language which is quechua is still spoken today in Perú and that helps to preserve the culture.
2. The incas had their own belief, their own religion. Even though Garcilaso de la Vega was half Spaniard and half Inca he did not choose to practice the catholic religion which is the Spanish religion. Instead he must have practiced the Inca religion. That is why today books and people refer to him as a “spiritual mestizo”.
