Las principales ventajas de estudiar en otro país sería la adquisición de conocimientos culturales, el mejoramiento del idioma que se está aprendiendo. Conocer y establecer lazos de amistad con los habitantes del país en que se vive. Dentro de las desventajas podríamos mencionar la falta de adaptación a la nueva cultura, sentimientos de nostalgia por su familia y hogar, problemas con la comprensión del idioma y problemas de adaptación al clima del país.
