Alignment of information systems with organizational strategy:

It is really important for any organization to maintain alignment between information system and organizational strategy and as the organization merges with some other organization, organizational strategy also changes accordingly. This leads to change in information systems, products, and technology.

• This change demands time and resources from an organization which is not appreciated by executive suite.

Information system during corporate merging:

• Information system plays a vital role in corporate merging. Companies need to be very careful when it comes to integration of two companies.
• The main issue about integration of two information systems is that the companies need to see that they merge the two information systems properly so that the resulting information system works well for both of them.
• The steps taken to merge the information systems are evaluated by executive suite and CIO (Chief Information Officer) acts as the representative.
• CIO also deals with the issues encountered during merging.
