Concept Introduction:
There are limited numbers of elements that are available in their pure form. The remaining elements are with impurities. This impurity can be removed by using refining processes. These elements are generally used for producing greater strength elements and to improve the corrosion resistance.
When other metals are added to pure metals, the process is called as Alloying. As copper is easily produced, on addition of molten copper and tin a new alloy is produced which is known as Bronze.
This alloying process is also known as modification of alloy.
