The below are the recommendations to manage the data files present in DBMS (Database Management Systems) with many tables and index:

Step 1: Independent data files are created for the system, indexes and for user data table space.

• The data are needed to be maintained on the separate disks or RAID (Redundancy Array Independent Disks) volumes.
• The data is maintained in separated disk will make sure that any operations related to the index will not conflict with the operations such as table access of data dictionary or end user data processing.

Step 2: End users tables that have high usage are being placed at own table space.
