Chapter 11, Problem 1MC
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
All prokaryotes replicates by means of asexual reproduction, and it is achieved by binary fission. The prokaryotic DNA exists in the form of single, spherical chromosome. In binary fission, the chromosomal DNA undergoes duplication, which results in two copies. The subsequent growth of the cell ensures the separation of these two copies, resulting in division of cell into two daughter cells. Therefore, all prokaryotes replicates asexually and not sexually.
