The human body consists of four forms of tissues namely, epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue, and nerve tissue. The connective tissue arises from the mesoderm and can be located between other types of tissues. This tissue can be divided into categories namely, dense and loose connective tissue. Tendons are a type of dense connective tissue.
