Program Plan Intro

Artificial Intelligence:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) simulates thinking and behaves as human such as the capability of giving reason and learning.

  • Its main aim is to develop a system which mimics human intelligence.
  • It increases the speed and consistency of decision making, helps in solving the problems without lending complete information.
  • The problems which cannot be solved by the conventional computing can be resolved using the AI system.

Components of Artificial Intelligence:

The six key components of AI are as follows:

  • Expert systems
  • Robotics
  • Vision systems
  • Natural language processing
  • Learning systems
  • Neural networks

Expert System:

  • A work performed by a human expert and the same task is performed by a computer application is known as expert systems.
  • The expert system is a knowledge-based system that models the professionals in that particular field.
  • It is a successful form of artificial intelligence software.

Explanation of Solution

Applications of Expert systems:

Some applications of expert systems are given below:

  • Expert system used in Diagnosis and troubleshooting of devices:
    • They gather the mistakes and propose the corrective measures for malfunctioning device or process.
    • Medical field is a first knowledge area which it is applied.
  • Expert system help in planning and scheduling:
    • The system analyze complex tasks and interrelating the goals in order to identify the set of measures to accomplish those goals, offers the detailed historical ordering those actions, taking into personnel material, and other controls.
  • Expert system used in configuration of manufactured objects from subassemblies:
    • The configuration applications were modular home construction, manufacturing, and designing the complex tasks.
  • Expert system renders help to financial decision making:
    • The Expert system technique plays a vital role for financial service...
