To determine:
The diseases that affect the aging nervous system.
Introduction:
The functions of a nervous system help an individual to perceive and interact with the environment. The neurons of the brain get renewed and replaced by the new neurons that ensure the proper functioning of nervous system. The normal dying off of neurons occurs throughout the life.
This aging process of the nervous system starts before the birth by a process called apoptosis. It is a programmed cell death that helps in replacing old and damaged cells in the body. The extra or excess neuron cause problems and result in diseases. So, for the proper functioning of the nervous system apoptosis occurs in the brain.
