Introduction:

Pedigreeis a genetic representation of several generations of a family whichshows the inheritance of a trait or disease. There are symbols which represents the gender and affected individuals.

Explanation of Solution

Pedigree helps in analysing the trends of occurrence of disease in a family. In case, a trait or a disease tend to skip a generation, and healthy parents (most possibly carriers) have an affected child, it represents presence of a recessive trait in a family. So, studying data of different generation and pattern of inheritance a recessive trait can be identified.
