Explanation of Solution

Changes made by information technology in America’s Cup boats:

In older times, the America’s Cup race were done on single-hulled sailboats which is 70-foot range serving an average speed of 10 miles per hour.

• In 2010, $300 million were spending to change the infrastructure and internal functioning of the boat. It is changed to three-hulled catamaran made of carbon fiber which resembles as the aircraft wings.
• In 2013, the boats were modified to 72-foot, twin-hull catamarans which has an average speed of 50 miles per hour which is meant as one of the fastest sailboats.

The newly constructed sailboats needs lightning-fast collection of massive amounts of data, effective data management, faster real time data analysis, faster decision making in to take the immediate actions...
