Chapter 11.4, Problem 2AYLO
Summary Introduction
To discuss:
Excitation-contraction coupling; how electrical excitation of a muscle fiber leads to exposure of the active sites on the actin of a thin myofilament.
Introduction:
A single muscle is composed of numerous cells called muscle fiber is known as sarcolemma. The muscle fibers are multinucleated and contain numerous mitochondria, which supply energy in the form of ATP for contractions. Actin filament consists of 3000 parallel myofibrils present.
