What is graphene? Why is graphene unique?
To determine:
Definition and uniqueness of graphene.
Answer to Problem 1E
Solution:
Graphene is an allotrope of carbon. The carbon atoms in the graphene structure are present in a regular hexagonal pattern. It is the basic structural of charcoal, graphite, fullerenes and carbon nanotubes. The graphene is a unique material because it has important properties. These properties are, the high superficial area, it is the strongest material, it can conduct heat and electricity and is nearly transparent. Graphene also has large diamagnetic properties.
