Two gaseous streams containing the same fluid enters a mixing chamber and leaves as a single stream. For the first gas the entrance conditions are A1=500 cm², v1=230 m/s, p1=1.60 kg/m³. For the second gas the entrance conditions are A2= 300 cm³, m2=8.84 kg/s, v2=0.502 m³/kg. The exit stream conditions is v3=130 m/s and v3=0.437 m3/kg.
Determine the following:
(a) the total mass flow leaving the chamber (kg/sec)
(b) the velocity of the gas at 2. (m/sec)
