Introduction:

The general fungi life cycle has two phases; a haploid phase alternating with diploid phase. Nuclear fusion of + and – hyphae ends haploid phase where formation of zygote begins the diploid phase. Sexual reproduction of a condition called dikaryon is observed, which is a characteristic of Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes.
