• Create a work-breakdown structure: One of the best approaches and strategy for SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) projects is to divide and conquer. To simply large projects, project teams create a Work-Breakdown Structure (WBS) and divide into different goals.
• Estimating the time and cost: In order to develop successful development projects, one need to estimate the time and cost need to finish the project and organisations can use projects similar to this project for planning which would produce quality schedule estimates.
• Create a project plan: No great thing was ever achieved without planning. In order to build successful development projects, one needs to plan the project in advance so that the process of creating the project is smooth.
• A project plan is a list of Work- breakdown structures and the display is called a Gantt chart which shows tasks, dates and dependencies.
• Adjusting the plan by accessing trade-offs: In order to make a successful development project one needs to adjust the project plan by accessing trade-offs.

  It can be done by balancing three factors: requirements, costs and time.

• Managing development changes: In order to make a successful developmental project one needs to manage the development changes by considering the coordination, diseconomies of scale, configuration control and unexpected changes.

The actual purpose of a work breakdown structure is to reduce a large project and a complicated activity into a collection of tasks which can be divided into various teams.

• One of the ways to address the difficulties is to attempt the schedule the development project in spite of all the difficulties.
