Chapter 13, Problem 13SAE
Summary Introduction
To review:
The importance of pharyngotympanic tubes and sinuses being drained into nasal cavity and nasopharynx to be explained.
Introduction:
Pharyngotympanic tubes mainly open into the nasopharynx and they further drain into the middle ear. Sinuses, on the other hand, drain into the nasal cavity. Nasopharynx and nasal cavity help in removal of mucosal entrapments from the pharyngotympanic tubes and nasopharynx.
