Chapter 13, Problem 18SAE
Summary Introduction
To review:
The difference between carboxyhemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin.
Introduction:
Oxygen is the major gas which is required for respiration. It binds with the hemoglobin present in the red blood cells (RBCs). Sometimes, due to either incomplete combustion of carbon products or due to the presence of carbon monoxide, it is inhaled along with oxygen. It is an odorless colorless gas, therefore, its presence is not easily detected.
