Case report: Person R is a sexually active junior at state college. He was aware of the slight white discharge at the tip of the penis for the past 6 weeks but he ignored this symptom. But now he complains of pain in the testicles, pain upon urination and intense itching around the tip of the penis. Suspecting chlamydia, the physician has taken a swab from the urethral opening of person R and confirm the diagnosis with a urine test for the presence of chlamydia. Meanwhile, the person R will start a regimen of oral antibiotic and he will return for a retest in 2 weeks. The patient was suggested to refrain from sexual activity and advised on the benefits of using the condom until his infection resolves.
