Chapter 13.1, Problem 30R
A.
Summary Introduction
To name and describe: The four types of waves associated with an EEG.
Introduction: The activity of the neurons in the brain creates an electric field. The electrodes are used to measure the electric field and it can be done by placing electrodes on the scalp. The cortical areas, as well as nuclei, may either get stimulated or quieted down; based on this, there is a continuous alteration in electrical activity. An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a printed recording of the brain’s electrical activity.
B.
Summary Introduction
To differentiate: Epilepsy and seizure.
