Transmission media:

• Transmission media is also known as communication channel.
• It is defined as a pathway which carries the information from sender to receiver.
• Data is usually transmitted through electrical or electromagnetic signals.
• These signals can be transmitted through copper wires, optical fibers, atmosphere, water, and vacuum.
• Transmission media can be broadly classified into two groups such as wired/guided media and wireless/unguided media.
