Introduction:
The spinal cord is a long, tubular structure made up of the nervous tissues. It is protected by the vertebral column. The spinal cord together with the brain forms the central nervous system (CNS) of the body. The spinal cord is surrounded by the central gray matter centrally and the white matter peripherally.
