Chapter 14, Problem 3FI
Summary Introduction
Introduction
Prejudice is, essentially, “pre-judgement.” Prejudice refers to judging members of any particular group negatively based on its association with that group rather than on any individual characteristic it may have. There may be a variety of reasons for these prejudices to form. It may be simply that the person is different in some key manner. It may be something learned from family members. It may also be the fact that they are “outsiders” whom we feel are encroaching into our physical or emotional space.
