Chapter 14, Problem 5CYU
Summary Introduction
To review:
Difference between a visceral and somatic reflex.
Introduction:
Visceral reflex arcs and somatic reflex arcs have the same components, that is, receptors, sensory neurons, integration center, motor neurons, and effector organ. The visceral afferent fibers are found both in spinal nerves and autonomic nerves. The cell bodies of sensory neurons from both reflexes are located either in the sensory ganglia of the cranial nerves or in the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal cord.
