Nervous system controls and coordinates the functions of body. It is comprised of brain, spinal cord, sensory organs and spinal cord. Nervous tissue has two types of cells: neurons and glial cells. Neuron is a structural and functional unit of nervous system. It has ability to receive the electrical signal and convert them into an action potential.

The action potential generates when the neurons receives the signals beyond the threshold. The voltage generates the action potential.
