Concept introduction:
The two types of motor neurons are the upper motor neuron and the lower motor neuron. The tracts send the stimulus to various regions of the spinal cord. Motor neurons are the descending tracts that transfer the signal from the brain to the spinal cord after the signal is processed and interpreted in the regions of the brain. The transfer of stimulus originates in the cerebral cortex, cerebral nuclei, and brain stem.
