Chapter 15, Problem 19TYR
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Adrenal gland a paired structure is situated just above the kidney as cap on head over the kidney. This gland is cross-structured into two zones. The outer layer acts as the adrenal cortex, and the inner layer acts as adrenal medulla. The outer cortex secretes corticoid hormones, and the medulla secretes the epinephrine and norepinephrine. The norepinephrine or noradrenalin reaches the target cell through binding to the adrenergic receptors.
