There are three common organizational frameworks in management. They are functional structure, bureaucracy and matrix structure
Solution:
A functional structure focuses on grouping their employees based on specific tasks and specialties. Here, decision making is done by the top most level of the hierarchy. It also allows employees to gain specialization by engaging in the same activity over and over. Further, it paves way for a career path for employees which can be looked at as a tool of motivation. However, the functional structure may create rigid, informal communications because the hierarchy dictates the communication protocol
