To match:
The term from column A to the correct description in column B.
Introduction:
The ABO blood group system classifies blood into three categories − the A-type, B type, and O type. The A-type individuals have the A antigen expressed on their RBCs and their plasma contains antibodies against antigen B. The B type individuals have the B antigen expressed on their RBCs and their plasma contains antibodies against antigen A. The O type individuals have no antigens expressed on their RBCs and their plasma contains antibodies against both antigens A and B. The AB type individuals have both antigens A and B expressed on their RBCs but their place lacks any antibodies.
The presence of the Rhesus D antigen factor in the blood is denoted with a positive group (+) and its absence with a negative (-) group. It is independent of the ABO grouping.
