Chapter 15.1, Problem 3CYP
Summary Introduction
To analyze:
The importance of sensory receptors in the maintenance of homeostasis in the body.
Introduction:
Homeostasis is the process of balancing the internal environment of the body with respect to the ever changing external environment. This way all the vitals are maintained within an ideal range. If body fails to maintain homeostasis it can be dangerous and even fatal. All the systems of the body work together to maintain homeostasis, for example, nervous and endocrine system.

Write a few brief paragraphs outlining how the senses of smell and taste operate in ways that help the body maintain a homeostatic balance. Include at least two examples of how each might be involved in a homeostatic feedback loop.
List the four kinds of information obtained from sensory receptors, and describe how the nervous system encodes each type;
Classify sensory receptors according to body location, stimulus detected, and structure.
