Global Positioning System (GPS):
- It stands for Global Positioning System.
- It is nothing but a satellite based navigation system that provides accurate position, time, as well as speed information.
- It performs independent operation and the user need not to transmit information.
- It is used by people present all over the world. It provides dangerous positioning capabilities to military and civil services and also to commercial users.
GIS:
- GIS stands for Geographic Information System.
- It is a system that is used to gather, store, manipulate, and manage the geographical information.
- GIS application allows user to create interactive queries, edit information in maps, etc.
- Its applications are related to management, engineering, logistics, business, etc.

Use of slack with RFID:
Slack uses RFID to track office supplies. The retailers see this technology as the clear path to get more accurate inventory counts.
Use of slack with GPS:
