Concept explainers
(a)
To name: The nerve fibre types present in the anterior root.
Introduction: The neuronal cell bodies of the spinal cord are found in many sizes and shapes that determines its function. Neurons are structurally classified based on the number of dendrites as unipolar, bipolar and multipolar neurons. The neurons present in the spinal cord are multipolar neurons, containing more than one dendrites. The multipolar neurons act as efferent motor neurons that carry impulses which exit the spinal cord and brain.
