Question
Chapter 17, Problem 28RA
Summary Introduction
To review:
1. The effects of filtration, secretion, and reabsorption on the renal plasma clearance of a substance. 2. The use of creatinine to measure the GFR (glomerular filtration rate).
Introduction:
Kidneys are located in the abdominal cavity one on each side and have a bean-shaped structure. The kidney is comprised of two parts, namely the renal cortex (external part) and the renal medulla (internal part). The main function of the kidney is to filter the blood and remove the waste products in the urine.
