The CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) is one of the forms of positive airway pressure ventilator. This device applies pressure to keep the airways open continuously in those people who cannot take breathe on their own. It is another option of positive end-expiratory pressure. It is used in those people who have breathing disorders, such as in sleep apnea.
